Week 8: BBQ Ribs11/15/2023 This week I made ribs and homemade fries. When I first had the idea of making ribs in the oven I didn't know it would have taken me 3-4 hours to make them. When you first get the ribs you have to pull the membrane off the back and that's a difficult task if you can't get it all in one pull. But after you do that put the dry rub on and let the meat cook on a wire rack for 1 hour. Then take it out wrap it in aluminum foil and add some brown sugar honey and any type of juice. I used 1 cup of pineapple juice then Rap the ribs while they are bone up then let that cook for 2 hours. Then heat whatever sauce you want to go with them. For my sauce, I made sweet and spicy BBQ sauce from scratch. For my sides, I made corn and beans.
I give this meal a 9/10 the meal was cooked right it fell off the bone. my mom gave the dish an 8/10 as well it was a little too spicy for her but she enjoyed the food. My little sister ate all of her ribs so I think she gives it a 8 or 9. If I were to make this again I would make different sides and use a different sauce.
